For a long time, success in real estate looked good on paper: the production was there, the awards were there, and from the outside, everything appeared exactly as it should. On the inside, I was tired, burned out, and despite the recognition, I didn’t feel successful in the way that actually mattered.
What I realized was that I loved my clients, but I was carrying everything: the details, the paperwork, the constant pressure to be everywhere at once. That wasn’t sustainable.
I searched for ways to to do this better and I made the decision to build the kind of team I would want to join. I envisioned a team where people feel valued, supported, and energized by the work they do and a team where the details are handled, the systems are strong, and no one is expected to carry the weight alone.
That’s how the Taking You Home Real Estate Team came to life.
I didn’t start by filling roles. I started by choosing people who share my values, my work ethic, and my belief that how we do the work and how it feels along the way matters just as much as the outcome.
Each team member was selected with care for their professionalism and shared standards. We collaborate openly, support one another, and focus on what we each do best resulting in a team that’s engaged, energized, and genuinely enjoys what they do. That energy carries through to a process that feels calmer, clearer, and more consistent for our clients.
Behind the scenes, the details are handled with intention, so nothing feels rushed or reactive. The paperwork, contracts, logistics, and marketing are managed carefully and consistently, keeping the process organized and on track and allowing our agents to stay focused on their clients and guide them through successful transitions.
For me, this shift has changed everything. I feel energized again. I’m deeply passionate about building a team where people love what they do, feel supported in their roles, and grow together. Most importantly, our clients feel the difference.
This was not about growth for the sake of growth. It’s about creating a better experience for the people we serve and the people who serve them.
